Mini Chess Warfront is a free browser game that fuses turn-based strategy with twitchy arcade combat. You play on a compact 5×8 board with the chess pieces you already know — King, Queen, Rook, Bishop, Knight, and Pawns.

But there's no "capturing." When you move onto an enemy piece, the board drops away and the two pieces fight it out live in a real-time arena. Aim, dodge, and out-maneuver your opponent — whoever wins the duel keeps the square.
